Project Spotlight: Surf City Garage

Surf City Garage Enlarged.jpg

SCG is a car detailing product company recognized around the world as the best car care products anyone can buy.  Their home is in Huntington Beach, CA, and they have great exposure at most major car events across the nation. They have 2 major lines - Surf City Garage, and Paradise Road. SCG products and promotions all have a cool aesthetic vibe to them – a blend of hot rods and the tropics. This is why we were interested in working with them and were delighted when we were given the opportunity to develop an apparel line. Here is a sample of some of that work.

Ultra-mega Wild

This outrageous beauty, WILD CAD, is not your garden variety street rod. 82-year-old legend Gene Winfield helped design the fully custom eye-popper. It’s reported that the paint job alone was almost $200,000!

Slick 70

This droolworthy ’70 Nova is another example of a “game changer” for me. Normally I’m not an avid Nova fan, but this 2-toned, Pro Touring specimen yanked my eyeballs good. Ouch!

Nashty Habit

A gargantuan power plant and blood-shot headlights grace this wacked out go-machine at Kool April Nites.

Sick Fish

Back in 1971 my dad received this postcard from the local Plymouth dealership in Redding, CA. He passed it on to me (since I love Muscle Cars) and I saved it all these years. The couple in the picture must be planning on some pretty aggressive driving. I noticed they brought their helmets!

What's your Anglia?

Whats your Anglia.jpg

This 1955 English Ford Anglia had the tiniest custom touches, so tiny they were BARELY noticeable. Yeah, right!
